Fall & Winter Calendar of Events
Moonridge Zoo Open Daily 10-4. See the animals close-up. All animals have been rescued. Most are indigenous to the area mountains. Being an alpine facility (over 7000 feet), there is also a snow leopard and lynx. Animal Feeding Tour Noon, Weekends. Very informative, plus have the opportunity to see animals that tend to den during the day.

- 30 Minute Nature Walks (Saturdays at 1 & 2pm)
- Discovery Center Eagle Tours Saturdays, December 22, 29. January 05, 12, 19, 26. February 02, 09, 16 (Discovery Center Valentine's Day Eagle Tour!), 23. March 01, 08. Take a tour of Big Bear to see the local bald eagles in their natural habitat.
- Discovery Center Snowshoe Tours Sundays, December 23, 30. January 06, 13, 20, 27. February 03, 10, 17, 24. Enjoy a guided winter walk in the National Forest with the Discovery Center.
December: Holiday Big Bear B&B Chocolate Tour! Saturday, December 01 Tour Big Bear B&Bs and receive a special chocolate treat!
New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade Monday, December 31 A spectacular sight to see as 100 skiers and snowboarders carry torches down Miracle Mile to weave a mysterious path of light to ring in the New Year.
